Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013
CarClubSA is a Responsible Party under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 ("POPIA"). This notice is maintained by CarClubSA and explains how we process personal information of South African data subjects.

Lawful basis for processing
- Consent — when you sign up, subscribe to the newsletter or submit a feature.
- Contract — to operate your reader account and deliver requested services.
- Legitimate interest — to keep the platform secure and improve editorial quality.
Your rights under POPIA
- Be notified that your personal information is being collected.
- Request access to your personal information we hold.
- Request correction or deletion of your personal information.
- Object to processing, including direct marketing.
- Submit a complaint to the Information Regulator (South Africa).
Submitting content
When you submit a car feature, photos or credits, you confirm you have the right to share that content and consent to it being published on CarClubSA with credit.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted transport, access controls and secure hosting.
